If you're a keen artist, then this hand-turned sketch pencil will be really handy to have at your finger-tips. It features a plunger lead holder mechanism that will hold the lead firmly in place until you wish to retract it. To drop the lead into position, hold it upright in one hand, with the other hand about an inch underneath the tip. Depress the top with your thumb; the jaws around the tip will open and the lead will drop down. Once it is where you want it, release the top and the jaws will close. To retract the lead, follow the same procedure, but pushing the lead gently back up with your lower hand. Unscrew the plunger and you'll see that inside it is a sharpener for the lead.
