The rustic finish to this bowl tells a story. The central picture shows the edge left by the chain-saw as the tree was cut in the wood, and which I have sanded slightly. The left-hand picture shows the bark, which is on two opposite sides. The right-hand picture shows the base where it was mounted on the lathe and also shows marks where I machine-cut the timber, and which has been lightly sanded.
