Not salt and pepper pots but salt and pepper holders. (To hold freh ground pepper and sea salt for when I am cooking!).
The nearest I have found to what I wanted is used by Celebrity Chef, James Martin who uses a old wooden cash box insert from a very old till!
So in a Eureka Moment, I sent a message to Mervin to ask if he would do such a commission? Probably not the kind of thing he gets asked for day in and day out. Well several emails went back and forth and Mervin came up with several designs, one of which was not to any of my original thoughts or ideas ( as in my head I wanted very rustic) but when I saw it, I knew it was perfect!!!!
It now sits proudly on my kitchen side, is used every day and last weekend when I had guests over for dinner was admired by all. (Mrs E B, Bedfordshire)
